Calendar of Events 2010


Chapter meetings start at 11:00 am., lunch is at 12:00 and there is a workshop in the afternoon. We finish by 3 or 4:00 pm. Directions below.

Writing 101 with Susan Lyons takes place before the business meeting at 10:30 am.

                                          Stories are conflict, without enough tension the story falls flat.
                                          Editors and agents constantly encourage writers to look for ways 
                                          to ramp up the conflict in their novels.  By turning conflict
                                          resolution techniques upside down, participants will discover new
                                          ways to increase both external and internal conflict. Participants 
                                          will leave with a list of conflict increasing techniques
                                          and practical examples they can use in their own work.
